A Cliché Otherworld Summoning
──uwah, I came to an awful place.
That’s the first thing I thought.
Let me summarise the situation I was placed in.
I, Sasahara Shinta(17), was summoned to another world.
The one who summoned me was, the Princess of a monarchy country.
And it seems I was summoned for the sake of defeating the Demon Lord or something.
It seems that such me is, an existence called a ‘Hero’.
It’s a cliché development thus far.
There are Hero’s abilities that had been bestowed to me, who was summoned to another world.
They are,『Skills』that are said that only Heroes can acquire in this world.
It seems there are a total of ten of the Hero’s skill, but it seems you’re only bestowed with three at the point when you’re summoned, and through living and adventuring, you acquire them spontaneously.
That part doesn’t matter for now.
The initial three skills I was bestowed with are the three below.

There are two skills that I want to give all kinds of retorts to.
First of all, the first one. Ain’t that just appraisal or something.
And then skipping the second one and onto the third one.
……I can just, go back to Japan, can’t I?
As is common with such a situation, a magic where you can see your status exists on default in this otherworld.
It’s just that, although I can see my own status, there are none of those parameters such as HP, Attack Power, or Level.
A magic that actually displays my present status to me in text kinda thing.
I wonder how this would work in reality? It’d be troubling instead if there was HP and such in reality after all.
Touching on it while I’m at it, the job name of『Hero』isn’t particularly displayed either.
Is there no abnormal status only because I don’t have any now? A default magic that tells you to go deal with it yourself if you caught a cold. Is that, even necessary? I don’t quite get it; the point of this status’ existence.
……I went off-topic.
Let’s leave the details about the status aside for now, and raise the problematic points of the skills.
The first skill.
I imagine that it’s a version of the cliché appraisal skill that’s confined to people, and look at the Princess who rudely summoned me. What, the other side probably already acknowledged that I’d do this.
Heroes possess appraisal-type skills. And before my eyes is the Princess who summoned me, who’s seemingly the Hero.
I mean, she’s gonna be the first target I try the skill out on. It’s the cliché after all.
It’s seemingly titled a ‘skill‘, but it’s actually a superpower, isn’t it?
Let’s try it out, yeah. Whilst bewildered by the situation, I’m also a little bit excited by it.

However, it’s not a good idea to point this out now.
After all, I, who’s summoned, am presently surrounded by a bunch that’s equipped like medieval knights.
I try sweeping through the knights with the【Character Introduction】skill, but it seems they all have similar thinking as this Princess.
Looks like being here, will be dangerous.
“Err, Princess-sama. Am I, able to go back? I would like to go back to my former world if possible”
“My apologies. For Hero-sama to go back to the former world, you have no choice but to defeat the Demon Lord……”
“No matter what?”
“Yes. That is how the【Hero Summoning】ritual is”
Are you serious. Just in case, I guess I’ll try using the third skill and confirm.
──use third skill【Otherworld Transporation Technique】. The target will be me myself. The way to use it is, something like this? Immediately after.
──【usage restriction】presently, there is a lock placed on the targeted individual against otherworld transportation. Please use it after removing the lock.
A system message as such was politely displayed in the status.
Where is this message coming from? How does it work? Are ordinary people accompanied by this mysterious message as well?
So, a lock, huh?
Does this mean I『 have to defeat the Demon Lord』?
I don’t know yet. It reeks of a lie. I guess I could just make the lock removal my objective for now.
I try directing the target at Princess Alicia next.
Immediately after, various setting choices regarding the transportation appeared.

I wonder if this means that, if it’s not me but the Princess, then I can send to Japan.
It serves no purpose even if I send the Princess over though.
Rather, it’ll be a bother to Japan if I send such a shitty Princess over.
If I set it to『Nothing』in the Equipment Designation, will the Princess be transported nude to somewhere in Japan? She’s beautiful if it’s just her Princess-like appearance though.
Prim-and-proper type, golden hair, white skin. A truly unmatchable beauty. Hmm. If she ever directly bares her fangs at me, I shall give it a try.
Rather, what’s ‘Objective Designation’?
“Because it happened all of a sudden, it will probably take some time for you to accept what I say. First, I would like us to move to somewhere more relaxed”
While she says that, she urges me to stand up.

That’s a close one. I ended up judging the Princess as a shitty woman on a whim without giving that any doubt.
She’s a courteous Princess for now. She might not be a bad person.
I mean, she’s beautiful. Wait, I can’t be judging people based on their appearance…….

There are several sofas with cushions as well, more than enough to take a rest.
I didn’t get to check out the outside. I wonder if this place is what they call a ‘Royal Palace’?
The summoning room has this unshakable feeling of being underground though.
“I will be leaving the maids and knights behind. I think it will take some time until you calm down……so please ask the maids and soldiers if there is anything, Hero-sama”
“Err, where is Princess-sama going?”

I’d like to think that it’s a bug with the skill, but I can’t do that either huh.
For the time being, let’s get a grasp of my own skills.
It suffices to say that, presently, all I can rely on is this set of skills.
I ran my eyes through my own status thoroughly again.

・Acquire the information of the targeted individual.
・For the information, matters that are related to the skill user will be displayed with priority.
・There are cases where the profile is updated spontaneously.
・Can only target species categorised as ‘Human’.
◆Skill No. 2【Absolute Counter】
・Reflects any and every kind of attack against the skill user back to the attacker.
◆Skill No. 3【Otherworld Transportation Technique】
・Able to transport the targetted individual to the【Otherworld】。
・Furthermore, on the occasion of a transportation, it is possible to apply detailed conditions.
・It is possible to call back the transported individual.
・If they accomplish the designated objective, the targeted individual will return.

Skill No. 1 is exactly as I used it. As for Skill No. 2, does this mean that I’m invincible?
……no, it feels like there’s a catch to it.
Straight-up attacks aside, it feels like there are various things that will not be judged as an attack.
And, the problematic Skill No. 3.
I myself can’t return to Japan, but if it’s somebody else, then I can send them off to Japan.
No, if I can just remove the lock, I’ll become capable of returning to Japan without any help.
I wonder if this is the Hero’s basic set-up? I have no idea though…….
There are all kinds of things I want to try asking, but the profile text that appears in,【Character Introduction】, is way too disturbing it’s hard for me to ask.
Let’s stay silent obediently at this current point in time. If I encounter somebody that seems reliable, I’ll rely on that person; that’s the plan.
I may be a ‘Hero’, but the only ability that can put the words『Defeat the Demon Lord』into action seems to only be Skill No. 2.
And that, too, is a counter-type skill.
Which means it’s impossible for me to be peerless huh. No, I will learn seven more, was it.
I’d like them to tell me about that as well though.
As I stay there obediently while fretting about such things, it seems the King-sama and company’s preparation are done, and it was decided that I will move to the audience room.
As I thought, it seems this present location is the Royal Castle.
I was led to the audience room that has a cliché vibe in the air and brought in front of the King.
Now then, since it’s probably a flow where I’ll have to kneel down, let’s take a look first.

“Hero. I am the King of this country, Lastoa＝Felt＝Cousler. First, let me give you my thanks, for responding to the summoning of this occasion”
“Yeah……”
I don’t remember responding to any summoning. I just got called out on a whim. Is he saying it knowing full well of that? No, in a situation like this, there’s the chance that the Heroes who were summoned in the past jubilantly got on board.
“You will shoulder the duty of defeating the Demon Lord”
“Yes”
“However, there is no way you can set off right away”
“Yes?”
“I hear that Heroes who are summoned, possess abilities called ‘Skills‘, but right when they are first summoned, they do not possess every Skill. Are you aware of that?”
“Ah, yes. When I was first summoned, I hear that from the Princess-sama”

The King nods exaggeratedly.
“First thing first, three months. That will be your training period”
“Training period, is it”
“That’s right. You may be a Hero, but be that as it may, you will be inferior even to weak monsters if you are unaccustomed to battles. Because I have assigned a knight to be in charge of your training, in the three months before your departure, you will improve yourself”

I don’t know the manners here, but as far as it goes, I’ll raise my question, after raising my hand.

If it’s a standard role-playing game, I’d just be given a cypress twig, some loose change, and get thrown out. If it’s a game, gaining equipment and level from the bottom up is one of the enjoyment, but as expected, it’d make you want to say『don’t screw with me』 in reality.
“Hmm. Our country will, of course, provide support on those fronts. However, when it comes to equipment, before long, you will probably be able to create new good ones with the resources you acquire and monsters you defeat as the foundation”
“Is……that so?”
I know that it’s game-like……but what’s the King’s reasoning behind that. This is no good, I’m curious about all kinds of things. If the Princess and soldiers’ profiles were just decent, I’d be genuinely excited though.
“Are those your only questions?”
“……I have all kinds of questions……but I think they are not questions I need to go as far as to take up the King’s time and ask. If possible, I would like to have an advisor to educate me on this world’s common knowledge and such assigned to me”
