The Reincarnated Boy’s Growth Log ~The Harder I Work The Stronger I Can Become!?~ 155

Bitter Aftertaste

We leap into the sky from Levine-san’s back. Levine-san, Shishou, and I attack the Zombie Hydra as it is, Hilde-san, Alexia, and Aerith land on the ground and start attacking the undeads the emerged from the Zombie Hydra, that’s trying to head to the Royal Capital.

“Lightning Emperor’s Armoury(Grom Arms)! Go!”

I materialise lightning weapons in the sky and release them towards the Zombie Hydra. They gouge the Zombie Hydra’s flesh along with the reverberating sounds of lightning exploding, but the Zombie Hydra recovers at a speed that surpasses that. This fellow really is troublesome huh.

And then the Zombie Hydra takes aim and spits sphere-shaped Breath at me, who’s falling in the sky, continuously. This fellow probably thinks that I can’t dodge if I’m in the sky. Unfortunately, I can.

I materialise weapons by my feet. The weapons that I materialised through Lightning Emperor’s Armoury can suspend in the sky after all. I’ll make use of that. It’s slightly unsteady as a foothold, but this is more than enough if it’s just for a split second.

I materialise weapons all over the sky, make those weapons my footholds, and traverse the sky with a spear in both hands. I dodge the Hydra’s Breath and closes in on one of the nine heads.

I then stab my spear as I’m falling from its face to its neck. I stab and materialise, stab and materialise, unceasingly.

Naturally, the Hydra struggles, but that amount of resistance doesn’t bother me. I then land on the Hydra’s back and search for the core.

I wonder where in such a gigantic body is the core. I have no idea. I think it’s somewhere in this torso, where all its heads are connected, though.

“GyAAAAA!”

Uoo! A Hydra’s head flew over from above. I look in the direction of the Hydra’s head, and it seems it was Shishou who lopped it off. Levine-san is also pinning the Hydra down. Thanks to this, the Hydra isn’t advancing at all.

But, undeads are overflowing unceasingly from its torso. Hilde-san, Alexia, and Aerith are taking them out below, but be that as it may, it’ll be troublesome if their numbers increase further.

I materialise a large number of weapons in the sky, just like yesterday. I then rain them down towards the Hydra’s back; continuously, unceasingly. I then look for the location that’s generating the most Magic Power with Magic Power Detection.

Magic Power is undoubtedly necessary for the Hydra to heal its wounds, and to increase the number of undeads. Although it’s probably hard to tell normally, recovering and materialising undeads this much probably requires quite a bit of Magic Power.

In this case, it ought to get caught in Magic Power Detection. On top of that, I’m able to slaughter the increasing number of undeads as well; it’s killing two birds with one stone. ……where is it. I follow the Magic Power that courses throughout its body. The location where they gather should be the core.

I search for the core amidst the downpour of lighting weapons and reverberation of the sounds of explosions. Levine-san and Shishou, who noticed my intention, cut off the Hydra’s heads repeatedly as well. It’s quite brutal. However

“Found it!”

The spot where the most Magic Power gathers. There’s a response at the Zombie Hydra’s abdomen, around the lower abdomen. I have to go under the Zombie Hydra to attack this place. I immediately descend to the ground from the Hydra’s back.

I then go all the way underneath the spot where the response was. I push my way through while also slaughtering the undeads around.

“Lei! We’ll cover you!”

Alexia and Aerith are tagging along beside me and taking out the undeads. Hilde-san is hovering about ten silver-shining spheres of light in the sky and releasing flashes towards the undeads from them. As though they’re fu〇nels1.

I can’t stand to lose either. I penetrate the undeads with the lightning spear I hold in both hands; boring through their legs, destroying their heads, splitting their bodies, sending them flying.

I then arrived at my objective, the core. This fellow may be decaying, but a Dragon is a Dragon. A half-baked attack won’t reach all the way to the core. I create what I currently think is the strongest weapon.

I used Tigris’ blessing as a reference. I don’t have the ability of creation like him, but if it’s something similar, then even Lightning Emperor’s Armoury can make it. What comes to mind is, the strongest spear.

My Magic Power gathers in my right hand and discharges. And then what appeared was a single spear that shines bluish-purple.

“Eat this! Divine Spear of Lightning Sky(Gungnir)!”

When I throw the spear that appeared, it makes the sound ‘Bachi’ and instantly gouges the Hydra’s body. And then several tens of seconds after that, the force from my attack rains down towards the ground.

It’s a force that blows away the undeads that were around. It’s to the extent that Alexia and Aerith can’t remain standing either without thrusting their swords into the ground.

And the spear I hurled was so powerful that it erases even the clouds in the sky. ……I can’t really use this huh. It’s too powerful. It consumes a fair bit of Magic Power as well.

But thanks to this, the Hydra melts into a sloppy mess. Eh, this isn’t good! We, who are underneath, will get caught up in this sloppy mess at this rate. I immediately carry Alexia and Aerith and escape from underneath the Hydra.

Ah, that was close. I’ll pass on getting caught up in that sloppy mess when we went through all that effort to win.

“No, no, no, no, no way! No way, no way, no way, no way, no way! My, my trump card is, my trump card issss!”

Grutas, who got close before I know it, screams upon seeing the Hydra’s corpse melt away in that manner. Well, it was the trump card he was talking about that confidently, he’s going to want to scream if it was trounced huh.

Well, it’s mostly thanks to Levine-san, Shishou, and Hilde-san though. If they weren’t around, the Royal Capital would probably have suffered quite the number of casualties. We didn’t know how to defeat the Hydra either after all. Well, you’re out of luck that Levine-san and the others were around. Give up.

“I guess it’s about the right time”

The robe-wearing man beside Grutas casts a Magic upon seeing him in that manner. When I ready my weapon, thinking, ‘what is it?’, it’s apparently Space Magic, and an old person with a stave emerged from there.

However, it’s no ordinary old person. He has silver hair with purple skin. And then this unique pressure. ……there’s no mistaking it. That fellow is the Dead Spirit King Benjarl that Levine-san and the others were talking about.

“Hohoho. You’re the youngster Azel was talking about huh. Moreover, there are familiar faces as well. It has been a while, Lightning Dragon Ruler and Light Dragon Ruler. And also, Sword Saint”

“Ah, it’s been a while huh, Benjarl. When did you wake up?”

“Just a few months ago. I’m still rough around the edges, but I took the chance to warm up time around. I got my touch back as well , so I guess I’ll make a better product next time”

“Do you think we’ll let you escape?”

As they’re talking, Levine-san, who returned to human form before I know it, says while cracking his fist.

“Don’t get so worked up, Lightning Dragon Ruler. What a boorish fellow you are, even though it was our long-awaited reunion”

However, Bernjarl says that with a carefree expression. I guess he probably has some kind of a plan. But, over there

“Meis, Meister! Isn’t it different from what we talked about! Even though you said that I can undoubtedly destroy the Royal Capital if I use the Hydra, it was defeated before it even reached the Royal Capital, didn’t it!”

Grutas interrupted. The aide-looking person beside Grutas is there ready to help him at any time though…….

“I didn’t expect the Lightning Dragon Ruler and the others to be around. It’s too bad, but give up”

“Yo, you, old trash! Somebody like you!”

Grutas, enraged by Benjarl’s words, draws the sword that’s hanging on his waist.

“Come”

An undead with a different vibe from the undeads that were emerging from the Hydra up until just now appears from the ground when Benjarl mutters something.

It’s an undead that’s covered entirely in armour. And then the undead’s hand appeared from Grutas’ abdomen the instant I thought it moved.

“Grutas-sama! You bastard!”

The person that looked like Grutas’ aide, closes in on that armoured undead, but it pulls its hand out from Grutas, and slices the aide into tiny pieces with that hand. What strength.

“Good grief. Even though I created it exactly as you requested. Eins. I’m going back”

“Hah!”

Eins, the man who should have been beside Grutas, is about to cast Space Magic again and teleport Benjarl.

Levine-san tries to punch at Benjarl, but the armoured undead just now came in between and took it instead.

“Tsk!”

It seems Levine-san destroyed the armoured undead’s core, the armoured undead ended up melting into a sloppy mess, but Benjarl ended up escaping. The man called Eins also took that chance to escape.

All that remains are the Hydra’s corpse that melted into a sloppy mess, the soldiers who lost their commander, and the corpse of the already dead Grutas.

It’s a result that in various ways, leaves a bitter aftertaste, but that drew the curtains on Grutas’ rebellion.
