The Reincarnated Boy’s Growth Log ~The Harder I Work The Stronger I Can Become!?~ 131

The Academy’s Labyrinth (3)

“Oraa!”

Vice President Brook repels the Orc’s club with his shield. Berg-san then shows up, changing places with Vice President Brook, and hacks down on the Orc with his axe. It was sliced diagonally, or rather, its entrails are spilling out of its cleaved body.

“Ora ora! Bring it on!”

However, Berg-san heads towards the group of Orcs without minding something like that.

Mewcroul-san, who provides support for that from behind. I don’t know whether she’s tweaking the arrows with Magic when she releases them, but the arrows that are created with Magic Power turn in their flight.

On top of that, she aims and shoots the Orcs’ eyes and nose, the particularly soft parts, without missing. It’s an absurd level of accuracy. Occasionally, she also shoots 2 or 3 arrows simultaneously, and it’s ridiculous because she doesn’t miss nevertheless.

Aerith cuts down the Orcs while protecting Berg-san’s back, so that he, who charges in, doesn’t get surrounded by the Orcs. There’s a crimson trace whenever she swings her sword, and it’s beautiful, it’s as though she’s dancing.

However, the Orcs’ figures are the complete opposite of that beauty; they’re charred. It’s the ability of her Magic Sword, Kagerou; the Orcs are roasted whole because of its ability to ignite the gashes.

Normally in the case that we’re going to harvest them, she suppresses her firepower, but we aren’t doing anything like that at all this time around.

The reason lies with this labyrinth. It’s impossible to harvest from monsters that are created by this labyrinth. When the monsters die, perhaps it’s because they’re made of Magic Power, they vanish and disappear on the spot. That’s also why she can go all out without holding back though.

And then, as for President Marina and me

“……there is nothing to do huh”

“……yeah”

we didn’t do anything. The reason is that Vice President Brook won’t let us do anything.

Today is the 3rd day since we entered the labyrinth. We have arrived quite smoothly on the 4th floor, amongst the 5 floors there are. The monsters that turned up thus far are goblins, along with the superior species goblins and Orcs along with the superior species Orcs; the varieties are rather few.

The monsters that appear are C Rank at best, so they end up defeating them without President Marina or me stepping in. Furthermore, this cave. Through some means, monsters don’t appear from the path that we passed through so we can proceed without worrying about the back.

Because the passage is only about 10 metres in height and about 7 metres in width, the monsters don’t come in a large group either. It’s so much so that it feels slightly cramp if even 5 Orcs line up side by side. Even the goblins, the most that showed up at once was about 20 various species.

I wonder if I’m the only one who feels that the fact that this labyrinth is easier than expected and that we’re advancing smoothly is the doings of Shishou? It appears that nobody is bothered by something like that though. On top of that

“Ah, looks like they’re done huh”

Vice President Brook, who came back after finish defeating the group of Orcs

“Is there any point for you to be here?”

takes a jab at me at every opportunity. It’s still okay if he only says it to me. In actuality, it’s something I think of as well after all. However, he says it so that Aerith can also hear it.

Because of that, Aerith is on the verge of exploding. It’s quite tedious to pacify her. Berg-san sees that, and as expected, laughs bitterly; Mewcroul-san looks over at me disappointedly. President Marina is apologetic.

I don’t particularly mind if he says it to me, but I wish he’d stop agitating Aerith; since it’s really tedious.

“Hey, Broo “Aerith” what!”

“Don’t be so angry. What Vice President Brook is saying is correct as well after all. Aerith also knows that I didn’t do anything in the three days that I’m here, right?”

If I have to say what I’d done, then it’s just standing beside President Marina and being her talking companion. I didn’t even bring out Rolgar on the second day.

“Butt! But……it’s frustrating that such things are being said about Lei”

Aerith says and droops her head.

“Thanks for getting angry for my sake”

I pat Aerith’s head apologetically. Aerith squints her eyes comfortably. At the back, Vice President Brook goes “Humph!” irritatedly, and Berg-san is saying something to that Vice President Brook.

We proceed despite such things happening. As expected, the superior species Orcs that appear on the way are defeated without President Marina and me getting involved. ……like I said, stop agitating her. Aerith as well, whoa whoa1.

And then

“Ah! President! I found the stairs that lead downstairs!”

It looks like Vice President Brook found the stairs to go down. I have a feeling that the tense atmosphere until just now slightly loosened up.

“In that case, let’s rest here for a moment”

“Yeah, let us do that!”

Vice President Brook then takes out a piece of floorcloth from the Item Box. In that case, since I’m not especially tired after all, I guess I’ll keep watch or something. I slightly widen the Presence Sense and Magic Power Detection that I had spread out in a small area until now. As I thought, there’s no reaction……nn? What’s this?

“Lei, aren’t you going to sit?”

“Leave him be, Aerith. He’s not really doing anything so let him keep watch at least”

“Geez! Mi is also saying something like that! Where did the attitude on day one go!”

Aerith and the others are making a racket at the back, but this is.

I take Rolgar out from the Item Ring right away.

“Everybody, stand up immediately!”

I speak out. Vice President Brook is raising his voice at the back, but I don’t have the time to be bothered with something like that. It’s because somebody is running over at a staggering speed over from the passage that we passed through.

And then what appeared was

“BurumoaaaA!”

In contrast to the green-coloured body of the ordinary Orc species, the Orc that showed up was pale in colour. Furthermore, it has a gigantic body that’s about 3 meters, along with a splendid armour that covers it. In its hand, it’s carrying an almost 2 metres curved blade that’s beyond my body height. I’ve heard about this size from Sieg in the past.

“……Orc King huh. It’s a subspecies of that on top of it”

In exchange for the monster’s subspecies’ low chance of appearing, in comparison to the ordinary species of the same kind, its capabilities are drastically increased. It’s commonly said that their capabilities are 1 rank above that of an ordinary species. The Orc King is an A rank originally. A subspecies of that would be

“S Rank huh”

When I glance behind, Aerith is standing in front of everybody with her sword ready, so as to shield them.

However, the rest of the members are frozen. Well, it can’t be helped huh. If I didn’t encounter the Demon Race, the Ancient Dragon, or the Shishou during training, I’d probably end up the same way as well.

I can finally move my body. I point Rolgar’s blade tip at the Orc King’s subspecies

“Bring it, you pig”

I grin. I’ll have you let me vent the anger that I had pent up these three days.
